Getting a Cross Tatoo

By classyfox

All Cross Tatoos have one of the basic types of crosses in them. They may be combined with any number of things, like flowers, animals, birds or someone’s own design, but usually they will still have one of the following crosses:

Christian cross tattoos –simple versions of the cross, often accompanied with religious inscriptionsor figures, also known as the Latin cross.

Gothic cross tattoos –beveled edges and often heavily adorned. These often seem to represent pain or anger. Both a cross that doubles as a dagger and a cross entwined with barbed wire are common examples of gothic cross designs.

Tribal cross tattoos –usually crosses combined with tribal designs.

Celtic cross tattoos –mainly originating from Ireland, Scotland and Wales, it is not unusual that this tattoo design is one of the most popular designs. Celtic Cross Tatoos often have elaborate designs with intricate loops and knot work that often have no beginning or end

With pop culture growing more popular day by day cross tattoos are becoming a part of everyone’s body. People get these tatoos for many reasons, whether it be religious reasons or just for style. Hey, even I have a tattoo on my right foot. Cross tattoos come in many styles, shape, sizes and people get them all over their body. You can have a one on your foot as part of a rosary, or maybe you have one on your arm in memory of a long lost friend or relative.
